Villa Caffetto
The Villa Caffetto is a marvel of a home. Located in a quiet village near Lake Garda, the house was built for artist Claudio Caffetto as both an experiment in living and making art.
The home was built on a inclined hill and essentially walks above the terrain. Hanging volumes, stepped gardens and sculptural walls create the enclosure of the spaces, with the garden overgrowing onto its architecture.
Today the Villa is slowly being reopened to the public, and despite its quite remote location, it is definitely worth the day trip. For more info on openings visit their website.
