Itamaraty Palace
The Itamaraty Palace is the gateway for international affairs in Brazil. The building is designed as an encapsulation of tropical ideals, with open-airy spaces, lush gardens and sculptural surprises.
The picture perfect moment is the Niemeyer staircase in this building, which truly looks like a floating ribbon of concrete. During the tour they gave us the opportunity to walk up to the mezzanine through this staircase, which is positioned as a piece of art within the center of the building.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosts tours to the public which can be booked through this website.
