Barbican

The Barbican estate was envisioned as the future way of living for London. Completely car-free, elevated above the city and completely made out of concrete. The architects in this case took a very efficient approach at separating the public spaces from private dwellers, with a system of elevated walkways surrounding interior gardens.

Despite not knowing much about London, this place has always been very special to me. Feels oddly familiar and comfortable. It is open to the public and you can go there to enjoy the greenhouse, theatre or gardens.
